Andy John Gray, MD

Dr. Gray was raised on the Kokernot o6 Ranch in Alpine, Texas. He was on a horse before he could walk, and the chaps he wore as a child are proudly displayed in our office. He has numerous scholastic achievements including degrees from TCU, A&M, and Texas Tech University. He attended medical school at Texas Tech, graduating in 1985. He completed an internal medicine internship at St. Johns Mercy Medical center in St. Luis, Missouri before returning to Lubbock to complete his residency in Family Medicine. Dr. Gray has been recognized by his professors and peers for his knowledge and skill as a diagnostician. Consequently, many of his professors and fellow physicians have trusted him to be their personal physician. Dr. Gray is a true pioneer in concierge medicine, having established PreferredMD with his late wife in 2004. This was the first concierge medical practice in Lubbock, Texas, and one of the first in the nation. Dr. Gray is passionate about ranching and ranching history. He has generously contributed to the endowment fund for the National Ranching Heritage Association where is also serves on the board of directors. His other passions including hunting, marksmanship, and cars.

Laura Schoepf, LVN

Laura was born in Lubbock and has lived in west Texas her whole life. She attended school at South Plains College and Wayland Baptist University. Laura has a plethora of experience in nursing and has worked in multiple settings. She started working with Dr. Gray in his concierge practice in 2011. She has a kind and caring heart and truly treats her patients like family. She epitomizes the nurturing and compassionate nature of a nurse. She enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her children and grandchild.

Jacob W. Reddick, MD

Dr. Reddick was born and raised in Southern California, but don’t hold that against him, he got to Texas as soon as he could. He graduated college from Texas Tech University with a degree in Zoology. After interviewing at multiple medical schools across the state, he chose to stay in Lubbock attending medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He completed medical school at an accelerated pace, graduating in three years rather than four. After medical school he stayed at Texas Tech for residency training in Family Medicine. He has remained board certified in Family Medicine ever since. Dr. Reddick has had an exciting career thus far with a variety of exciting clinical settings. He was very excited to put his wealth of knowledge and experience to work in his new partnership with Dr. Gray in his concierge medical practice PreferredMD. Dr. Reddick has four healthy young children he is raising with his beautiful wife Andrea. He enjoys watching MMA and Football. His hobbies include backyard farming, 3D modeling/3D printing, snowboarding, and above all spending time with his family.

Susan Devore

Ruby was born and raised in Monahans, Texas. After graduating from Sul Ross State University, She has worked as a, teacher, farmer, secretary, and massage therapist, besides working as medical office specialist. She started working for Dr. Gray in his concierge practice in 2009, and has been beloved by our patients ever since. Ruby finds joy in greeting our patients kindly when they call or walk in the clinic. She loves how our practice model enables her to address their needs immediately. Outside of her professional life, Ruby is passionate about health and fitness and makes it a point to eat well and exercises every day.

Susan has called West Texas her home since 1994.  Previously the Corporate Compliance Officer for Covenant Health System, she joined PreferredMD in 2007 as our Practice Administrator.  A lifelong student, she has degrees from Kean College of New Jersey, National University in San Diego, and most recently the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) where she completed her studies as a Graduate Gemologist in January of 2024.  When she not here doing our bookkeeping, she can be found at Royal Hummingbird Studio, where she is Owner, Designer, and Gemologist since 2007.  She and her husband Billy enjoy martial arts, fishing, golf, gardening and wrangling their two dogs Bob and Oda.
